“ We were able to get last minute reservations at Oishi Shabu Shabu. This spot feels like you're the chef of your own mini kitchen, except the only thing you need to worry about is not overcooking your beef. Our go to meat was #3 and the pickled sauce was so good. Quick tip, mix the pickled sauce with their house and add hot drops and you won't need anything else. They also have a great variety of seafood as well. I would recommend going before the dinner rush to avoid a busy salad and seafood bar. The staff is friendly, the vibe is chill, and the whole experience makes you feel like a culinary genius without all the actual work. Just be ready to wait--this place is as popular as it is tasty! ”

“ I recently saw the RockStar eater doing a review at Oishi Shabu Shabu and was inspired to check it out myself. I live in Huntington Beach and it was just a 20 mins dive down to Irvine. It's off Jamboree and DuPont in a shopping center with ample FREE parking and easy to find the location. Oishi Shabu Shabu offers all you can eat on weekdays for $25.96 and it's a GREAT DEAL. You get a huge selection of quality meats, seafood and vegetables and let's not forget the variety of noodles and other fun stuff that's not offered at traditional Shabu Shabu places. Even the jumbo shrimp, crab and salmon is offered in the lunch menu, along with some hot foods/ great appetizers to try like, takoyaki, fried rice and chicken wings. They're all yummy and make room for some yummy dessert, too. All and all, there's a ton of different things to try while you're here at Oishi Shabu Shabu and truly get your money's worth and more... My hubby and I have been to Shabuya and many other all you can eat Shabu Shabu place in Orange County and Los Angeles and Oishi definitely surpasses all of them. The restaurant has a spacious dining area and the tables aren't crammed and stuffy. The decor is very modern and an impeccably clean environment to eat in. Cleanliness is very important to me and Oishi Shabu Shabu passed my standards. Even their water wasn't TAB WATER and it tasted filtered and clean. Hahaha...good water should be served at good restaurants. Not tab water... Our first time there, Kenny, helped us out and he was extremely nice and dedicated and efficient worker and we thought he was the owner. He made sure, we had plenty of meats and frequently asked us if we needed anything. Great service... Overall, Oishi Shabu Shabu gets a 5 star with us and we'll definitely be back very soon for more great Shabu Shabu. ”

“ I don't normally like all you can eat places as I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth, but this place was great. The meat quality is pretty good, and I really like the quality and selection of seafood, veggies, and sauces that they had. I also like that each person gets their own pot of broth (although you can't split the soup). Service was also good - there was someone coming by every few minutes to clear up our used dishes, and if you check in on Yelp you can get free refillable soft drinks. It was also our friend's birthday, and they played a bday song over the speakers and brought him out a scoop of ice cream which was nice. Overall, I was definitely impressed and will be back. ”

“ This place is always amazing whenever I get a chance to come here. The food is delicious and I love that they have a salad bar where you can grab your dipping sauce and or veggies and noodles. Just amazing. The service here is always quick and simple , even tho the time I went they weren't busy at all . But our server was very kind and friendly . The ambiance is super clean and very nice everything was just perfect. This place is a perfect spot to go with family and or if you're going on a date. “ I read all the reviews for this AYCE Shabu Shabu restaurant and the crazy waiting times to get a table, crazy parking lot. Parking is a breeze is you choose to park underground where does was plenty of passes available. On can access the ground level either by stirs or an elevator. We stopped by here on a recent Saturday afternoon, around 1800. There was no active Yelp list to add our name to it. Instead we were warmly greeted by the bartender and soon brought to our table. I was really surprised that the restaurant was surprisingly quiet with several tables occupied by hungry guests. But it soon began filling up as we dined. By the time we exited, there were lots of patrons waiting outside for a table. We decided that the $33.99 weekend/Holiday all day AYCE menu option would be good enough for the three of us. There is a $57.99 all day Waygu AYCE option as well. We submitted our choice of meats we wanted for round one which was soon delivered while my wife was left to man the table by herself. The robot server that delivers your meat orders to several tables at once, caught her off guard and she soon figured out what she needed to do while our son and I were checking out the offerings to add to our individual Shabu Shabu pots. The protein, veggies and condiments offered at Oishi were a little bit scaled down in selection than what we have experienced at several other Hot Pot/Shabu Shabu restaurants. However, what was offered was quite fresh and tasty. I kinda kept going back for their fried chicken wings and fried sesame balls! Their seafood proteins smelled fresh and not old. In fact, I kept going back for their salmon, which was really good, fresh tasting, not fishy. Same with their giant paws as well. The sliced beef that was brought you our tables (we ordered 3 rounds of 4 different types of beef each time) was generous each time it was brought to us. The slices were not shaved so thin as to stick to the plate, tearing apart as one tries to remove it off the plate with chopsticks. Service by all of Oishi's staff was friendly and attentive. They were all working as a team and each would cheerfully answer any questions we had. For the price, it was a really decent AYCE shabu shabu dining experience. We have added Oishi's to our favorites list for Orange County. ”
